I am convinced if Bravecto didn't kill Piper, it certainly contributed to her death. Piper was given Bravecto from as early as 8 weeks old recommended by my vet even though I voiced my concerns, I was convinced it was the best thing on the market and the vet used it for her own dogs.
Gastro-enteritis
Piper then followed up 2 weeks later after having the Bravecto tablet with Gastroenteritis, at
the time I did not connect this with Bravecto.
Continued to give the Bravecto every 3 months then seein
g mild episodes of gastroenteritis
following on a few weeks after.
In June 2016, Piper had 2 serious episodes of gastroenteritis. The vet recommended that we open her up to see what was going on. She took various biopsies from Pipers bowel & stomach that did not look right.
Subjected to a toxin

Continued to give the Bravecto every 3 months then seein

following on a few weeks after.

Subjected to a toxin
2 days on from the operation Piper died with Peritonitis in the emergency vets.
It wasn't until after her death I insisted on reading her veterinary history from day 1 that I noticed that the episodes of gastroenteritis that she had fitted in with the doses of Bravecto.
The sites where the biopsies were taken looked as if they were subjected to a toxin. The vet SHOULD of noticed this!!! As each time after the Bravecto was given Piper was in 2 weeks later with Gastroenteritis. I have 2 other dogs and the older of the 2 also had episodes of diarrhoea but not as bad as Piper.
The ultimate price

The vet has finally reported this to MSD.
I believe now that they are soon to be selling a spot on version for both dogs & cats!
Unfortunately Piper paid the ultimate price with her life....
